The Mine Field Reunion 2024: Friday the 4th of October!

Imagine, if you will, that a lonely man who posts on a message board was visited by aliens. These aliens tell him that they have randomly select him as the most important person on Earth. They are going to wipe out the entire planet on October 7th 2024 - everyone save those who post on this lonely man's favourite mesage board. But anyone who hasn't posted within 30 days of October 7th will be killed. And they lonely man CANNOT TELL his message board friends that their lives depend on posting on the message board. If he does so, they will all be killed. He has to pass it off as a joke. Obviously, this is complete bullshit, it would never happen! LOL!
 
Maybe I just want us all to be posting together in this message board because, in some way, it feels like turning back time: to a time where I was happier and I could log on here and see a variety of posts from a fairly large number of people and would always have something to reply to or laugh at. Maybe I miss the people who aren't here and try to get them back desparetly every year by basically saying "HEY, YOU COULD POST ON THAT MESSAGE BOARD, REMEMBER ME" on Twitter (while it still exists) and Facebook, in an effort to recreate that feeling I once got from this place. Maybe I do appreciate everyone who is still here and @Mentalist for keeping the board alive, while still wishing it was more like the old times. Maybe those old times never truly existed but there was definitely something real for a time anyway.

Or it's the alien thing.
