SUPERMAN

And the father dies in a natural way of a heart attack, proving there are some people Clark can't save, he dosnt just stand directly in front of a tornado for reasons.

Let's get the nitpick out of the way first: I'm not a fan of the 1950s brick ranch for the Kent farm. Or a pudgy, bald, bearded Pa Kent. That said...

It's funny to compare this to the Marvel competition. Because the more I hear about the Captain America movie, the more I think it's going to be a convoluted shit-show that tries to pack way too much into one film. But this had Krypto, Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific (apparently), Lex Luthor, and a bunch of other stuff that needs to be explained and I'm stoked.

On a related note, a big gripe with Snyder's attempt at the DC universe is that he rushed things instead of taking the time to build the universe like Marvel did. That said, I don't give a shit for a Gunn Batman movie. Just go straight to the World's Finest teamup movie. With Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and sure, why not, Gal Gadot Wonder Woman.

The Flash movie was clearly set up as an Elseworlds story. Traditionally Kara is a blond since her first appearance back in the 1950s. Still and all, it could just be the lighting in that particular image. Unless they're going full retard like they did with that abominable Teen Titans series.

Fuck traditions. Nick Fury was traditionally a white man. I much prefer Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury to David Hasselhoff's lame Nick Fury.

Yeah, but the Sam Jackson Fury was based on the Ultimate Nick Fury, who was based on Sam Jackson! He was in the comics before the movies.

A few things I have noticed after the sixth time watching this trailer.

The whistle keeps recurring throughout the trailer, three or four times, including right at the very end.

When the can is thrown at him, he already looks bruised, and his chest symbol is burnt, so maybe he has already had his powers if not removed, then dampened.

I wonder if green lantern beat him up, and that's why he locks the doors first, looks like a classic bully haircut.

Luthor has also been in a fight later on, maybe he depowered superman, and then tried to fight him man to man, then got his pasty billionaire ass kicked by the farm boy.
Based on the Krypto sneak peak, it looks like they are sticking to the Man of Tomorrow/All Star Superman depiction of Superman (which Gunn has been on record of saying a lot of that comic series influence the design of his movie) where Superman is invincible, but not invulnerable and can get seriously hurt, where he needs the yellow sun to restore him. So not depowered per-say but his power is a lot more in line with other heros, and hes not the near god like depiction hes had where nearly nothing hurts him.
