Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

I hate 2025 so very much. I ordered a couple jackets from a store in Chicago. I live in Louisville, about 4.5 hours south of there. To get it to me, they sent it 1.5 hours north to Milwaukee. I ordered it on Friday and it is going to take until Thursday to get to me. Meanwhile, I also ordered a hat from San Diego on Friday and it got to me Tuesday. This is not even remotely the stupidest and most frustrating thing to happen to me today.

Don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.

Because then you're a mile away. And you've got his shoes.

Today they made it to Indianapolis. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say they used maybe Greyhound for shipping. Or possibly a snail. I think I could literally walk from Chicago to Louisville in the time this is taking.

THINGS THAT GO ON A HOTDOG:
Yellow mustard.
Relish.
Possibly chopped raw onions.
Maybe sauerkraut.
Maybe fried onions.
Chili? Cheese? Peppers? I guess.

But NEVER ketchup. Ass to mouth is more appropriate than ketchup on a hotdog.

I got Craig R Baxley's book off eBay, and if you know who that is without googling it, you're cool, or old, or both.

"Vertigo" by U2 played in the restaurant where I had lunch and it reminded me that even U2's forgettable songs are pretty awesome. As it started I'm thinking "Oh! This was a cool song. Who played it? I wonder what happened to them?" And as it gets going I go "Oh. U2. U2 did it."

But dang, the mid 1980s are a difficult high point for a lot of artists: Joshua Tree, Purple Rain, Born in the USA, Thriller... And then there's bands like The Police and The Cars where that's pretty much it for them.

I wonder if you could have a tribute band called The Police Cars and play Police and Cars covers.
