Amusing musing with dark origins popped into my head just now: I need something from a coworker that isn't ready because he just got back from a surgery. He's a few years younger than me, but in terrible health--obese, hernia, kidney stones, sleep apnea--you name it and it got me thinking about the Cylons.
They establish that the Final Four, who were from another civilization, age*. But it isn't clear that this isn't the case with the other models. That said, all the other models seem perpetually in their 30s while Cavill is always an old man. Anyway, the...it would also be interesting to see how a society functions when everyone looks like 1 of 8 people...ANYWAY, it got me thinking wouldn't it be something, if Cylons let themselves go and they have all kinds of health problems so they just go "fuck it, new body time" and start in their prime again? For that matter, I wonder what a society would be like where the population is fixed, there are no children, everyone is in their 30s (except the Cavill models) and everyone has a soul that is basically hundreds or thousands of years old.
Hmm. I guess that's not the case, now that I think about it. Because the Cylon War was only a few decades earlier and organic Cylons are even newer. Maybe that almost explains why the Cylons came back. That would be a somewhat maddening society to live in. I can see where they'd want revenge on their creators.
