Cassius Winston headlines AP preseason All-America team Cassius Winston is the only consensus selection on The Associated Press preseason All-America team announced Tuesday, a day after Michigan State was ranked No. 1 in the AP preseason poll. He is joined by high-scoring Marquette senior guard Markus Howard, Louisville junior forward Jordan Nwora, Seton Hall senior guard Myles Powell and Memphis freshman James Wiseman on the five-player team.
Nwora joined teammate Steven Enoch in opting to return to Louisville, helping the Cardinals earn a No. 5 preseason ranking. A 6-foot-8 forward, Nwora raised his scoring average 11.3 points from his freshman season to 17 per game last year while leading Louisville in rebounding with 7.6. He also led the Cardinals with 77 3-pointers and made 37% percent from the arc as a sophomore.

Blake Harris leaves NC State for personal reasons Harris averaged 3.1 points and 1.5 assists while playing 30 games as a sophomore last season. The native of Chapel Hill transferred to NC State from Missouri, where he started nine of his 14 games in 2017-18 before leaving.
Texas Tech transfer Khavon Moore gets NCAA waiver to play at Clemson
Moore, from Macon, Georgia, played in only one game for the Red Raiders due to injury. He enrolled at Clemson this past May and has practiced with the team, including playing in the Tigers' run to the gold medal at the World University Games this summer. Moore was considered a four-star prospect out of high school, and ESPN had him rated No. 43 in its top 100.
Northern Arizona Suns select Anthony Lawrence II first overall in G League Draft
Shooting guard Anthony Lawrence II, a forward out of the University of Miami, was selected No. 1 by the Northern Arizona Suns in the G League draft. Lawrence spent four seasons at Miami from 2015 to 2019, averaging 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.6 3s in 2018-2019. He also appeared in NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavalers in July.
