My sister was a Beatle People. When she first told me she liked the Beatles, I wondered when she started liking bugs and why. I was 8 and a Bob Dylan fan, even though I was very distressed over that bird that had to fly forever and could never land. Of course, once I knew who the Beatles were, I liked them very much too.
 
I know what you mean. Who would think anybody would want to kill John? John was "The Beatles" and John was all about peace. Yes, he did his first wife wrong and Yoko was a blight on the face of the planet at that time - but, he was John.
 
I'd agree that Nugent was a predecessor to the 80's hair metalists and guitar heroes, but best song? No. Nugent wouldn't be anywhere without other artists.
