30 Days of Night

The Dork Lord

Whipping Boy
I enjoyed this movie as much as (if not more than) the original comic. Everything from the emotional reality of the characters to the caked blood on the vampires faces was more believable to me (not that I had anything against the comic, but the art was a bit too abstract to really bring the horror home).

These are not your elegant pansy blood-drinkers of the Anne Rice or Bram Stoker tradition, they’re savage, soulless, sociopathic sharks on land.

The tension, fear, and gore are unrelenting.

This may be the best horror movie I’ve seen in a long time.

Looks pretty good. I read that - in that particular critic's eyes - the movie was even better than the graphic novel! And I thought the book was pretty bad-ass.

I'm sure I'll rent it some day.

I liked the movie. It wasn't great, but it was creepy. I hated the comic though. Its a great concept, but I still think that neither the movie, or book took complete advantage it.

But, I digress. Any horror movie that doesn't suck ass is a rare treat nowadays.
