The Dork Lord
Whipping Boy
I enjoyed this movie as much as (if not more than) the original comic. Everything from the emotional reality of the characters to the caked blood on the vampires faces was more believable to me (not that I had anything against the comic, but the art was a bit too abstract to really bring the horror home).
These are not your elegant pansy blood-drinkers of the Anne Rice or Bram Stoker tradition, they’re savage, soulless, sociopathic sharks on land.
The tension, fear, and gore are unrelenting.
This may be the best horror movie I’ve seen in a long time.
