A Bee Sting

Mirah

I love you
A Bee Sting
And 6 stitches

So I was walking in the wilderness when I got stung by a bee. It really itched. I kept scratching at it, and then I fell. I fell on a rock that took a chunk of my knee out.

I had to get 6 stitches. Lucky for me they can do that up here.

I forgot about the bee sting until it started itching last night.

"Oh yeah," I thought, "I got stung by a bee that day"

I look down at my ankle, where the bee sting was and it is red, but not swollen. So it is okay! LOL

Fucking yellow jacket.

I am kind of feeling miserable right now. I was trying to be strong and positive, but I am done doing that, so I will just say, I fucking feel miserable, except it really could be a lot worse. So I am thankful that the injuries were not more.

I definitely did not tell my family because this would be the response "You have to be more careful" "Were you walking alone?" "Did you have a walking stick?" "Do you carry a first aid kit with you?" (Yes I do) (Walking alone or with someone would not have changed the fact that I got stung) (I kind of don't like walking sticks, but I am considering one)

Don't go alone in the wilderness! Its dangerous!!!!!

I HATES WASPS :rwmad: there are wasp nests everywhere in the summer, under things you might innocently want to pick up, on the roof of the shed all menacing and scary, hanging from a limb I need to mow under EVERYFUCKINGWHERE.

I hope you're leg feels better soon. It's probably bruised under the cut and that probably makes it hurt worse. If you have some cortisone cream in your first aid kit that might help the wasp bite.

ALSO, I almost edited your last post on accident. :rwmad: butterfingers

Cortisone cream did help! And benedryl. I used all that immediately. I didn't expect the sting to start itching 4 days later. I think I stepped over a wasp hole in the ground.
At first I didn't know what it was. I was thinking it could have been nettles or something else, but then when I made it down the mountain I saw where it stung me.

Someone else got stung yesterday by a wasp. Big time bad ass marine guy walks in with an ice pack on his hand. Those suckers fucking itch!

I think the movie 'My Girl' showed us all just how serious bee stings are. I hope you don't turn into Macaulay Culkin, Mirah.
