Since His Lordship posts here, and it seems so few have read him, I just thought I'd share a few of the scenes from his writing that stuck with me.
He was one, sick, fuck.
Particularly noted for his blasphemous images, the scene describing a bishop placing a concecrated host (if your Catholic you'll know what this is) on the tip of his penis just before sodomizing an alter-boy, who is being strangled to death at the time, has just to top the list.
Honorable mentions include sawing his Heroine Justine's maid's nipples off (before cutting her heart out) during an orgy, just for fun.
Also, sewing a serving girl inside of a donkey skin and watching as she starves to death over a matter of weeks is pretty creative.
The man was not terribly flashy with his prose. He certainly wasn't a romantic. However, it's hard to deny his creativity.
Before one goes admiring him, read his books. The fact he was thrown into an asylum was not persecution, it was a proper diagnosis.
(and btw, he wasn't actually a Marquis).
