It is unhealthy to live in the past. I suggest you pursue new interests and gain new perspectives.

After what happened two years ago, I did go thru a period when I was angry and resentful. Now, the current dynamic of WF just makes me sad because I remember the atmosphere when it was first opened. Now, the only other place I hear the word "troll" bandied about so often on a BBS is here. People who used to be friends have become malicious towards each other, and some even betray long time associations for the sake of a troll. Christ, look no further than the "One last troll" tribute thread to Techman. That wasn't what WF was originally about. C'mon Crosis, you remember.

So, yeah, I care that board, and the people who post there, have changed for the worse. I view it as an ideal gone to Hell.

Maybe I should take my own advice....

You're right. As much fun as I think they are at times, the people here aren't interested in improving WF.

Change *has* to come from within. The people that post at WF need to take control of the direction it's taken. It would be a difficult path, to be certain. There would be plenty of resistance from those who have garnered illusory power from their ability to control the atmosphere there, whether it be from in front of the curtain, or behind it.

Witness the fact that RL was *immediately* put on hold to deal with Elwood's red face in the CheekyMonkey debacle, but is suddenly overwhelmingly pressing when having to deal with the Storm/Listkeeper/Gul drama. You need to ask yourself why.

Unless the members there take stock in patterns of behavior, and then move to eradicate them, WF will continue its downward spiral away from it's original intent.
