Avengers

Why don't you write one of your excruciating pre-reviews? You did go read up on how Eloisel used to do that right?

Sorry, Gear. I'm still not interested in fighting with you.

And, maybe you didn't like my reviews. That's okay. I'm not going to share my reviews here again. My purpose wasn't to tell anyone the story but to share my enthusiasm for the film.

Did you see the movie or not? If you didn't, do you intend to see it at the theater? I hope to see it on Imax this week.

^ I haven't seen it yet, what did you think? All I've been hearing is how much fun it is, and the money numbers back up the fact that it's great entertainment. I'm interested in your input. Kate will see it if I say I'm going :D

Fuck that's a hellman illo for your av, I'm shitting myself laughing.

I've missed your sense of humor.

I saw it last week and it was pretty amazing. Way funnier than I expected it to be, action where action needed to be, and all the principals seemed content to share screen time after a fashion. Mark Ruffalo killed as Banner/Hulk, Downey Jr was his usual scene stealing self, and ScarJo played a very satisfying Black Widow.

Highly recommended. I was not irritated at having spent money to see it. These days that's rare.

On an unrelated subject, I do not care whether you are Eloisel or not. If you are, welcome back. If you aren't, maybe move past the "pretend to be El" phase and continue to join the conversation. Grudges are for lesser persons. I hold none and will not address our history beyond this point. Please note that this is not an offer of, or request for, forgiveness. Simply a statement of quiet coexistence that you may do with as you will.

Haven't seen it yet. Went to the Imax theater early on Saturday but the line was amazingly long and the shows had already been sold out until Sunday. I can wait. I've enjoyed all the related movies - except the Hulk movie that I haven't seen, so more than likely I'll really enjoy this one too. Let me know if y'all go.

That's good to know. I'm out of movie passes so this is one I've got to pay for. Saw Thor on Imax and it was awesome so I'm going to see this one on Imax too.

I don't pretend to be eloisel as I am the original eloisel. Peaceful coexistence would be lovely.

Pretty hard to pick a weak point, to be honest. Every actor got a chance to shine, everyone clearly played with ensemble in mind, and even Loki as the villain was a nod to the original Avengers Waaaaaaay back when. Although they borrowed fairly heavily from "Ultimate" versions of the characters as well, in Fury and Hawkeye. If I had a complaint it's that I was sorta hoping to see a couple surprise cameos that didn't happen. But in retrospect it's probably for the best, they had enough actors to juggle.

Try to imagine that I, hater of all things sock&dual, would rather talk to an Eloisel fake then the real thing.

So I'll take your word for it.

My brother was a big comic fan when he was a kid so while I didn't read them I'm aware of the characters. Don't remember Hawkeye though. I'm very interested in this character. Isn't the actor that plays Hawkeye also in the last Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol?

Did you stay until after the credits ran?

why would you hate duals? They're the lifeblood of TK

He's probably mostly talking about obvious attempts to troll him carried out by thinly disguised duals in weak sauce middle school "ops".

Those are pretty fucking annoying.

The thing is, Gear, I don't really care to talk to a fake you, a real you, a half you, an alternate you, a mini-you, or any other kind of you. If you really need someone to fight with, you're going to have to find somebody else. As you know, I'm quite capable of ignoring you for a very long time, no matter how much you rattle your cage.

Hawkeye=purple Green Arrow character back in the day when both companies robbed each other shamelessly. Recently upgraded to "guy who can hit anything with any weapon" in order to plausibly put him on a team of heavy hitters. Because for some reason comic fans who have no problem with flying Gods and Green supermonsters get really bent at the questionable realism of a guy who fights crime with boxing glove arrows.

I only know the actor from Hurt Locker and Dahmer. I don't watch the MI movies because life is too short for that much suck. But probably he was in it.

A mini-Gear would be cute as hell. Just sayin.

you're right!
