In college, there were three bands whose names stood out:

The last one went on to have a fairly extensive post-college career, touring for years.

My all-time favorite RL band name was a short-lived group that played on the north shore (north of Boston) in the early nineties. I'll never forget laughing for hours after listening to a local DJ trying to keep a straight face (or voice) during his promo spots:
