Battle: Los Angeles

Just watched the trailer for this new flick.

Features a US Coast Guard Cutter getting wasted.

Same class as I used to serve on. No hull number from freezing the trailer so I don't know if it's "mine".

Kinda cool. Considering how badly "Skyline" got panned, I hope this one is better. The budget is "real movie" size (80-100 Mil) so it should be.

Now if they'd spend that money on the REAL USCG the cutbacks might not be so severe...

Bow is slightly short in front of the gun-house. Gun looks oddly shaped too (it's a dome), The port side has an RHIB, not the "bathtub boat" that is shown. Plus no hull number. Still, it's a '378 alright. Hope they went down fighting.

I am beginning to get worried.

Too much "shaky Cam" in the trailers and clips. I hope the entire film isn't done this way.

Never happened.

*ROTFLMAO @ the US Coast Guard* Those Colombians are LAUGHING at them.

As expected.

I wanted the "R" rating because I wanted to see Amanda Seyfried get done "doggy style" by the wolf before he eats her.

"Oh my...what big........you have!"

"We don't care about you we just want the drugs" is what drug runners hear from the Coast Guard doing the search and seizure thing.

Not really.

"We've got you, dude. If you don't give us trouble it will be a LOT easier for your lawyer. If you DO give us trouble then your life for the next (time to port) will be pretty unpleasant and your lawyer will have to deal with a lot more charges. Your choice."

That's what they usually hear.

I did patrols on both coasts, the processing's the same and we bust plenty of druggies on the west coast too.

Our main weapon against drug-runners: our Fire Monitor (big water cannon).

Direct water down the exhaust or intakes, flooded engine room, the bad guys stop, end of drama.

Anyway, back to the topic: Saw Red Ridinghood...would have been MUCH better as an "R" rated film.
Eminently forgettable, not bad, but not worth anything more than a bargain matinee ticket. Visuals were interesting, but the script, acting, and "mystery" were pretty poor.

Just put EVERYONE in the church, then when the sun goes down, watch who goes berserk and runs off, or transforms and gets a hot-foot. Much more efficient than a trial or putting people in a bronze elephant.
