this sensational news broke earlier today with him saying he would have quit as captain with or without the world cup trophy but what i want to know is who in the england team will replace becks in the most supreme job in english football????

see before our miserable world cup campaign we would have all said Stevie G but after his second stinking tornament in a row he clearly does not thrive on the world stage, which is a shame because his club football would make any1 think that he was created to simply demolish world football

so the dilema is who now?

Seph, there were more lads than just Stevo flopping on the International field this Cup.

(Never seen Frank Lampard miss so many shots in my life! It was actually getting darkly funny it was so ludicrous).

I'd still back Gerrard. Yes, or John Terry - he's settled down too.

surviving - I've seen some England flags flying at half mast...still a little gutted, but such is the game of football....everyone is a little down, but that will pass, I just hope the remaining teams provide some entertaining football - no more penalty decisions, just good clean goal scoring.
