Best British Sitcom IV

Number_6

beer, I want beer
Shows with old people on them and that focus on age and aging:

One Foot in the Grave

versus

Waiting for God.

I suspect Victor Meldrew will win out with this crowd. Let's see.

OOPS. I forgot the actual poll. Oh, admins . . .

One Foot in the Grave without a doubt. One of the funniest shows going. The episode where he starts working for this rich family as a gardner and is using what he thinks is fertilizer in the unventilated shed but it turns out to be sacks of coacaine.

Brilliant.

The scene of him driving through the consevatory on the lawnmover high as fuck.

Yep. One Foot in the Grave, was more of a 'SitCom' that Waiting for God. WfG was wittier, and probably of more taste to older viewers approaching the age of the character Stephanie Cole was playing.

One Foot in the Grave was funny when it began, but when Victor's catchphrase could be heard on every corner of every street, it was boring.

Waiting for God had it's moments, but they were few and far between.
