BG at the movies pt 4.

Oh... We're gonna check it on Sunday.

I wanna see Over the Hedge, though.

I was vetoed. (this time)

Bad but funny.
"Whats the name of a woman with one leg shorter than the other?"
"Ilene"
"What's her name in Japan?"
"Irene!"

D'ja already see it? Y'know, if you'd gone to see anything else without me, I would'a been miffed. As it is, though, relig'mus films just don't get my interest-meter off 0.

It's not religious, it's a thriller/puzzler that happens to center around religion.

I don't know it it was better to have read the book first or not.
on one hand, all the major revelations on the path, I knew from the book, so the mystery was gone there.

The did change some things. (of course) but kept it pretty dang close to the book. They added a few lines of dialogue here and there to give an uncertainty to the existence of the Priory. Even an attempt as to why the '60s date of it's precieved conception was there. (Expose it as a hoax then continue being secret)
Ian McKellen did a wonderful job. He presented some of the lines out of the book in a way the I didn't get reading it.
the book and the movie still left one gap; I still don't know why or what all the money was for. both could have skipped that entire part and I wouldn't have missed the gap.

My friend saw it last night. She said it was okay, but could have been a bit more suspenseful.

Nothing out right now that I want to see...but next Friday....I'll become one with X3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well.... we saw DaVinci Code today. Not a bad movie, really... I rather enjoyed it.

Oh, and I've decided when I grow up I want to be a chaste, self-flagellating, albino monk assassin, and have hilarious adventures all across Europe.

My faith has been challenged. I don't know WHAT to think/feel/believe anymore.

Somebody PLEASE give me an opinion and point of view to subscribe to!

My biggest problem with patriarchal religions: I would MUCH rather fixate on the shapely ass of a beautiful woman. Truth, baby.

wasn't it because the Vatican wanted to buy Opus Dei's silence?

The request for the money was instigated by either Fother Vagibossa (whatever) or the Teacher.
It may have been ransom. I'm still not sure.
That's what I mean by it not having to be there.
