I ignored it for the first four years. Then the reruns started showing up everywhere, and I started watching. It is indeed funny.
 
I never heard of it until somebody showed me a youtube clip of Evil Wil Wheaton. Then I started watching the odd rerun and it just gets funnier and funnier ...
