He should've played Nemo in STxI '09.
 
He always seems to be in a supporting role. Has he ever been the hero of the piece?
 
His little three episode arc on Charmed might be considered a heroic part.
 
He was crazy sexy in Dead Calm, still one of my favorite flicks.

Wasn't he the lead in that Turkish anti-America/Israel Iraq war movie? Might explain the lack of leading roles.

Also, he just exudes 'cocky villain', or at its most benign, 'know-it-all'.
 
He's definitely got a smarmy vibe to him.
