Books I read while I was off the board

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
Books I read while I was away for a year and a half:

by Stephen Hunter

Point of Impact (the bad movie Shooter was based on this excellent book)
Dirty White Boys
Black Light
Time to Hunt
Hot Springs
Pale Horse Coming
The 47th Samurai

These books all deal with either Bob Lee Swagger, a master sniper from the Vietnam War (they’re set in the 90’s, though, when they were written) or with his pops Earl Lee Swagger, a WWII hero who won the Congressional Medal of Honor. All are great books!

Stephen King
Duma Key
Everything’s Eventual
Hearts in Atlantis
The Cell
From a Buick 8
Song of Susannah
Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

by Diana Gabaldon
Lord John and the Private Matter
Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade
Lord John and the Hand of the Devils
Outlander
Dragonfly In Amber (read 1/3)

These are all part of the “Outlander” Series. The Lord John books are great, but the main Outlander books are pretty bad. Couldn’t get through the second in the series.

The Heroin Diaries-Nikki Sixxx
Interred With Their Bones-Jennifer Lee Carrol (Thriller about a lost Shakespear Play)
The Book of Fate-Brad Meltzer
Fear Jeff Abbott
Panic-Jeff Abbott
The Ruins-Scott Smith (eh….it was just ok IMHO)
The Life of Reilly-Rick Reilly
BtVS-Tales of the Slayers-Various
Train-Pete Dexter
An Innocent Man-John Grisham(non-fiction)
Nineteen Minutes Jodi Picoult
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince-Joann Rowling
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-J.K.R.R. Tolkien-Rowling
Boomsday-Christopher Buckley
World War Z: An Oral History of the First Zombie War-Max Brooks

I know there are several more, can't think of them. I'll post 'em later. All are good, if you want to know details lemme know.

Stephen King
Duma Key
Everything’s Eventual
Hearts in Atlantis
The Cell
From a Buick 8
Song of Susannah
Wolves of the Calla
The Dark Tower
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

I thought Duma Key was just depressing. There was a lot that I liked about it (Dali is most likely my favorite artist), but yeah. The end of the Dark Tower pissed a lot of people I know off, but it kinda made sense to me for some reason. Same with Cell. I liked Eventual too.

The Ruins-Scott Smith (eh….it was just ok IMHO)

I was wondering who wrote that...

The Book of Fate-Brad Meltzer

Please tell me this doesn't have anything to do with Sandman!
