Boston was fun.

The Legendary Troll King
Found a once a month gig with a band that travels up these parts called The Boston Horns. Very cool, pay is nearly as much as what Smokin Gun did for a few gigs. Booked thru June.

Auditioned for Blue Man Group as a tech/musician, got a callback for the 20th on that one. Met one of the original BMG guys and spent a couple of days with two of the drummers, one of whom I met before. We did a trio jam on their upper stage which was fun. That whole organization has become remarkable.

Oh, and I enrolled in the Berklee school of Music for the Summer session, starting in June. Will be working til then, but the summer is going to be very interesting.

Looks like the messes have been cleaned up properly. I see karma is back, big fucking deal.

It was nice to take some time off, still feeling the pull, but we'll see what happens.

Are we going to have a discussion about my trip to Boston in this thread, or is it going to the dark place, and I'll simply start another one?

Just so you know, I have no plans to ever visit the dark Place, 'cept for the spam zone.

Gotta spam for miss manners

I grew up in Brighton, and hung out in Dorchester back in the 60's, when they first started "integration"

West Roxbury is still a fucking pit though. I grew up in a housing project called Fidelis Way, which was one of the BHA failures of the time.

It's all fucking condo's now, go figure. I went back ther to show my wife where I "had it tough", and the fucking doorman wouldn't let me in :bigass:

The best thing about Boston IMHO is the living history...the USS Constitution, Paul Revere's house, Boston Common, Fanueil Hall, etc.

Cheers sucks.

My little Jack. It sounds like your little trip yielded some great results. Congratulations, my little friend. I was up there once for a wedding at Cape Ann. Nice part of the country.

Sounds like a great trip, Jsck! Congrats on the new gig, and on the callback. You must be good - BMG is very choosy. :)

I grew up in Brighton.

Err.. The other Brighton.

The whole Boston area blows. Where I grew up we used to call them Massholes. Funny, it still seem appropriate even today.

Damn, I wanted to head up to Boston this summer and catch another Phillies game at Fenway Paaak (I was there in '99). But the goddamn tickets are sold out already. Bummer.

Glad you had a good trip with a safe return......

Hope the thing works out with Blue Man Group.....
I've seen that show twice, I love it so much the first time around......
It really rocks, the best show I've seen in a long time.
So unique and original...nothing compares...
