Rupert is a horribly stereotypical English comic strip. He's about 80-90 years old I'd guess, and started as one of those horribly nicey nicey strips with a pictured, then an all text box between. The writing is very nice, with nice language, and well behaved animal-people.

I have always despised Rupert, more so now for popularising Burberry.

eBay. The older ones change hands for a very tidy sum these days. We have some in the loft my Father gave me, but I won't be handing those over to anyone soon. The more recent ones (70's - early 80's) should be easy to obtain.
