I liked Ryan Chappelle when they decided you needed to like Chappelle so that when Jack blew his brains out to comply with the terrorists it really sucked.

Ah, but did you know, it was meant to be a mock execution, only the guy who played Ryan put on his web page that he wasnt really going to die, to reasure his fans, so then they changed it so that he really was killed.

In a reversal, Chase let slip he was going to die, and they let him live, although they did chop his hand off.

It dosnt pay to be Jacks boss or partner.

Chappelle was a good character though. And his 'Actual' volantary execution was one of the greatest not pulling any punches moments of 24. It was sick, and it sucked.

Pretty damn harsh really. Season 3 was harsh, that virus was not nice.

I'm only on the second disc of Season 4 so no spoilers past about 1:00 PM for that.


They fired Chloe she better be in it again this season. I know shes a big character next year.

Season four is awful. There's a real "Jumping the Shark" feeling to the whole thing.

I'm upto 3:00 PM so far and I think its killer. It's a strong season. Though I agree partially that we have seen it all before. But its the forth major disaster, it's getting slightly implausible and I did sigh a bit at having ANOTHER mole in CTU.

But the fact remains that if you accept that this is 24 same as ever, doing what it does best then there is in no way that it is awful. Its fucking awesome as ever. So many new characters, hardly anyone came over from from season 3 excpet for Almeida, Chloe and Jack, Season 4 is the shit so far. It got going much quicker than Season 3 and it's just a great series no question

24 is as vital as it ever was, it's been years since S1 rocked the stagnant formulaic weekly tv format and it is still doing it. Considering they are staying with the show they have done a lot to keep it fresh and why fix what isn't broke?

24 rocks, Season 4 rocks, Season 5 will rock, watch it Rich.
 
I am the only person in the world who doesn't "get" 24.

Seriously I watched like five minutes and was like, "How do they never get stuck in traffic? DC doesn't really work like that. I need to take a crap. The Internet is fun."

Et cetera.
 
Meh, I don't know, it seems like something I wouldn't like (guns and shit, meh) but everyone says it's good and it probably is but I just havne't watched it.
 
In four years there has only been one terrible episode. And that was in Season 1 when Jacks wife got convenient amnesia :roll: She was shot and killed anyway...

But thats it, it's one of the best shows on television, ever.

The very slight convoluted problems that cropped up in S1 are all but gone. Season 1 still blew erveryone away though.. But now the forumula and action are at the top of the spectrum more than ever and refined to the maximum amount. Nobody is safe in 24, they keep doing things that you just can't expect.

24 rocks the shiznit. And Jack Bauer is one cold mutherfucka. He's going down in history as one of the best characters ever.

What other show can hold a candle to it? It does what it does right, and thats that. It's essential viewing, Jack kicks ass, Sutherland is just a legend.

I watched Season 1 when it was released, I also have it on DVD. I loved it, I was addicted to it so badly. Season 2 came out and I shot out to buy it watched it and loved it all over again, I steamed through all 24 episodes in no time.

Then I missed the airing of Season 3 and obviously couldn't pick the show up halfway through so I left it be. I picked up Season 3 about four days ago and I am at 6:00 PM into Season FOUR at the moment (11 hours into it allready)


I am on the masterful 24 marathon. I have gone seriously over-board with it but it is just as addictive as ever it was. Lost? great show but it doesn't come close to 24. Smallville?

LOL. Yeah, right.
