Christmas is Coming

We're going out tomorrow to cut a tree in the woods.

It will be Christmas very soon. What are your plans for the holiday?

My wife and I sing in the local choral group. We're doing the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree sing for the kids in the Village next Friday night. There are three parties we're going to, including a very nice one on xmas eve. Christmas will be at one of the daughters' houses and we're very excited at this marvelous holiday season.

Awesome.
My first party was yesterday. Drove through the local famous spot for lights last night.
Christmas tree lighting and parade downtown tonight.
I've got the veggie crumbles stew cooking for veggie nachos and a chocolate/cherries dump cake cooking right now for the holiday party at temple tomorrow afternoon.
The office party is on the 17th.
Having lunch with the family on Christmas Day and then to a potluck/game night with friends that evening.
There are other parties going on but I don't know if I can fit them in at the moment. What a problem to have - not enough time for all the fun - right?

Sounds like a holiday season to me What's dump cake? Where you just dump a bunch of chocolate and cherries into it?

Pretty much. Dump a can of cherry pie filling in to a crockpot. Mix a box of cake mix with 1/2 cup melted butter. Dump the cake mix on top of the cherry pie mix. Cook on low in the crockpot for 3 hours. Easy, easy.

Serve it warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
