Today I came to terms with that I will never have my Aunt's copy of "Atlas Shrugged" and bought my own.

I also intended to buy a fucking T-shirt with a Captain America shield on it and was stymied at three separate fucking stores that had them as recently as a week ago, but that's another story. :evil:

The Captain America shield shirt is shit.

Marvel once had a great "stars and stripes costume" shirt, but they pulled it because it was apparently too well-made and fan pleasing.

Now they have a similar one, though with "muscles" drawn in.

Such bullshit.

Yup. I finally conceded to hipster fashion and started wearing t-shirts with "long johns" under them (well, fashion and 2 years in Hawaii have made me a pussy about wearing short-sleeved shirts in winter). I had on a blue t-shirt and the white "waffle" texture on the sleeves got me thinking, throw a Captain America t-shirt on there and you're red gloves and boots and a little helmet away from being Captain America. But yeah, they don't make the good one anymore and the one with the "muscles", it's also fucked-up on the proportions. It looks funny.

But when it got right down to it, the one that looks like the uniform is a bit...much. The shield shirt is kind of cool and ironic. The other one is too much Comic Book Store Guy to wear while trying to get women to have sex with me. All a moot point, because apparently the shield shirt is completely out of production right now. You can't get it for love or money. :S:
