Comedy Central Wusses Out...

Friday

Bazinga!
...and doesn't show the caricature of Mohammed on the second part of South Park's Cartoon Wars. However, they do depict a likeness of Christ crapping on President Bush.

On Holy Thursday.

What, they can disrespect Christianity, but Islam is off limits?

If this is what multiculturalism has wrought, I'm deeply ashamed of my role in advocating it to young minds. Truly....

Um, I thought that was a joke and part of the South Park episode? Or did I get that wrong? And on Holy Thursday? Does South Park air on a dif day for you? I"m confused. ;) (hi friday!)

Well as the advocate you have to 'know better,' right? Wait patiently until the Muslims know better so we can hold hands and make fun of each others' religious symbols

It is part of the joke. And damn me for missing it last night. I'll have to catch it this weekend.

It was part of the joke, but it's true that CC refused to allow the image be shown.

I was really shocked to hear that considering the amount of content/editorial control Matt/Trey have with SP and all they've gotten away with in the past. I can see why they're pissed.

You have to wonder, though, if Mohammed will be shown in the DVD.

I saw it last night. I still think it's part of the joke, unless you've got an article stating otherwise.

Fucking politically correct cowards.

I am genuinely pissed that they didn't show Mohammed, but they found it okay to show Jesus, during Holy Week, in a disrespectful manner.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for free speech and all that, and wouldn't be upset if they showed both religious icons. But to show one and not the other, during a week sacred to Christians, reeks of hypocrisy, disrespect, and just plain cowardice. :rwmad:

Where have you been? Everything has a double-standard against things of European heritage.
