I got my tongue pierced years ago (had to take it out for military reasons) and it didn't hurt half as bad as people say it does. I think I squeezed out a single tear. What really sucked was the swelling and discomfort for the next few days when I couldn't eat anything besides icecream and non-spicy foods.

Our friend who talked Karl into getting the piercing got her tongue pierced a few years ago too and she said it didn't hurt as much when she got it as it did later when her tongue swelled up like hell.

I had my toungue peirced twice, the first hole I didn't feel at all till the next day. The second one pinched a little I guess it was the placement as it was behind the first hole.
