Daredevil: Born Again

My friend and I have been going through all the old Netflix Marvel series. We've only got a couple seasons left now. Another friend recommended we go through the old Daredevil and such so we understand Kingpin in Echo... so after we get caught up we can finally watch Echo, and then everything after that so we can watch Daredevil Reborn when it airs...

Fuck me, it's a bitch to watch TV these days.

I'm pretty sure it'll be done in a way where you can watch it without having watched the Netflix shows or Echo (which I imagine got a fraction of the viewers this will get.) But I understand wanting context for everything.

Fisk has lost a lot of weight.

Im wondering how much if any of the actual Born Again story will make it to the series considering how much Capt factors into the ending, and Nuke already was in Jessica Jones and is dead and unlike the comic book version never was subjected to the Super Soldier Serum.

First episode - The structure of the episode was a bit of a mess, with the first twenty minutes feeling like they were wrapping up a totally different show (which they kind of were!) I guess all you need to know about Bullseye is that he's a crazy guy who throws things at people to kill them. When Fisk showed up they kind of alluded to the events of Echo without going into it. which might have been confusing to some people. Did all the vents of the Netflix show still happen? I'm sure he ended up in prison for many many crimes there (I know rich people can get away with things.) Then they really rushed his mayoral campaign just to end the first episode with him getting elected. Having said all that, it was still pretty good!

Second episode - Paced more like a normal tv episode, which is good. Fisk does some genuine about trying to be a good mayor, but still doing things his own way. D'Onofrio is always compelling. I liked the lawyer scenes and Matt using "he didn't even have his magic amulet with him!" as a legal argument. It's cool they're actually doing the thing where bad cops are using Punisher's symbol - just like real life!

I'm guessing the creepy guy who went to Matt's girlfriend's singing is Muse, but I'm not as familiar with the charater as others.

I finished the 1st one, will watch 2 tomorrow.

It was pretty good. Since it has been so long since the last Daredevil, I couldn't remember stuff. I was like OH NO, FOGGY IS DEAD, but I'm sure I already knew that. I'm bummed that Karen won't be in it.

Yeah, but I didn't remember - "I was like OH NO, FOGGY IS DEAD, but I'm sure I already knew that."

Oh lordy. Fisk is Trump and Vanessa is Melania. Good job getting the giant pothole filled!

The White Tiger! I like that Matt now has to defend a vigilante. I like his investigator, too.

They're going to marriage counseling with Matt's girlfriend? lol

FINALLY, I was wondering what it would take for Matt to be a bad ass again.
