Happy, happy, joy, joy.
Hulu has more of the old series available now. They had stopped at the point Angelique made her first appearance. The best stuff happened after she showed up - her turning Barnabas into a vampire, time travel, people turned into cats, werewolves, ghosts, etc. The acting, scenery, and script is awful most of the time - almost like they are making up their lines as they go along. I love it when someone leans against a tree and the tree falls over. The actress that plays Julia huffs and sighs most of her dialogue. Still, there are times when the scenes are brilliant. Like all soap operas, if you watch too long you get sucked into the drama no matter how overboard and implausible it is. Most of this I barely remember so it is great.

Just what I needed - something else to distract me! I will never get finished with my projects.
 
I'm at episode 383 - Victoria is in the past before Barnabas is turned into a vampire. Josette and Jeremiah have just eloped. Joshua has just turned back into his human form. The family is in an uproar.
 
Fun fact: The exterior scenes of the mansion were filmed in my hometown, about an hour away from NYC.

The same mansion was used as the mansion in the original Stepford Wives movie.
 
It keeps getting better. Abigail has summoned Rev. Trask to come and prove Victoria is a witch. Trask just tied Victoria to a tree in the woods and plans to leave her there all night after he prays over her to the "judge over the quick and the dead" to cast out the "enemy of virtue, persecutor of innocence" possessing Victoria.
 
It is hilarious that Abigail and the Reverend are all crazy about witchcraft while Julia reads her tarot cards. Divination was as bad as witchcraft at that time. Julia should be tied up to a tree in the woods too.
 
Oh, oh ... Barnabas is going to throw down with the Reverend. I think there is about to be fisticuffs.
 
Uh oh. Reverend Trask has discovered Julia's tarot cards and she has just admitted she uses the cards to tell the future. She may just be tied up in the woods alongside Victoria any minute.
