Define, "making it."

Are you referring to making it as in "being successful in life" i.e. (I will have made it when I reach that first million) or "having sex with a person" i.e. (I made it with Cindy in a van down by the river last night)

Remember the varied types of characters who post here. You must be specific with these types of things. :D

Its the "being succesful" part, for me. The only people that say "make it with so and so" anymore are the same muddle-headed 40 year olds who are complaining that the new Dodge Charger has 2 too many doors.

I'll say I've made it when I can actually look back on my life, and be satisfied to the point that if i were to die tommorow, I'd have no regrets, and have accomplished what I intended to within reason.

I'm not there yet. ;)

I think I'll have "made it" when I can say that I've borked Natalie Portman while Heather Grahm waited for seconds.

It's a completely realistic goal.

That 100/100 shit is kind of impossible to get around.

I've been happy lately, and people worship the ground I walk on in RL, so it's fun to be alive. That's making it.

Yeah, but that won't last. A dream or a goal, even an impossible one will give your life focus and not have you wandering aimlessly. I have an insatiable curiosity and drive towards experiencing new things that keeps my personality pretty upbeat continually. I think its one of my better traits, and in that respect, I think I've already "made it" to some extent. Its also something I look for in other people.

Yes I have many goals still, but some of them have been met. My curiosity is insatiable also, but i take the time to sip that single malt these days.

Its a huge fucking landscape that just coalesces perfectly endlessly forever, no matter how deep it keeps redefining itself in perfect harmony and beauty

I've seen infinity.

It was under the influence of heavy, heavy, psychidelia, so it may have just me a hazy interpretation of infinity, but how else are we going to perceive it?

It's not like an uneffected mind can conjour the actual "look" of infinity.

So what I saw is probably as close as I'll come.

Heh.

That's funny, "as close to infinity..."

There's no "close" to infinity. You're either there or you're not. You can't get "a couple away" from infinity.

..and its right about this point in the convo when I start feeling out of my league. Ask me these things again in 10 years, if i'm still alive. :D

So even thinking of an image to represent infinity is off the mark. No humanly conceived image can come close to infinity because our minds are finite.

Although...

...one could say that the human mind has an infinite potential.
