As most of you know, I used to go by the name StarMan. More recently, I adopted the moniker Tristian. For several months I contributed to TrekBBS without any issue before being banned for inflating my post count by a couple of hundred posts.
Was a dicky thing to do? Well, duh. Was it a little pathetic? Yep.
Was it malicious or threatening? No. Was there any hint from me throughout my time there of *any* pernicious intent? No.
The administration profusely harps on about post count not mattering.
I have been banned PERMANENTLY over something that - in the words of the administration and T'Bonz herself - doesn't matter.
Boy, that makes a whole lot of frigging sense.
T'Bonz, what you've done is wrong - pure and simple. I considered the board and the community a valuable part of my life given my current circumstances. I'm currently on a sickness benefit dealing with both anxiety and depression and don't have much of an outlet at the moment, so you snatching that away from me hurt.
And given the inoffensive nature of my "crime", I'm even more astonished you didn't have the civility to inform me or talk to me or even friggin warn me - remember that whole warning system thing you've got in place? No ... instead you cry "AH! StarMan's returned to his old ways" without even THINKING.
