Put on the rubber gloves, wiped the whole thing down with an alcohol based cleaner then sprayed disinfectant inside a big trash bag, put the monitor in there, and let the fumes do its work for about 10 minutes. Took the monitor out, wiped it down again with glass cleaner and it looks pretty good.
Kitty kat has been fixed for years. Don't know why she is suddenly interested in the cat cleaner screen saver thing now. She is old. Maybe she is hoping to go for that last hurrah.
