Do you expect a terrorist attack?

More than ever IMO. Except that it would be a bonehead move on the part of the terrorists at this point in time, wouldn't it?

No, I don't. I expected some engineered shit to go down in October before the election, but I don't expect the real thing for some time.

Yes but not until the dems have run the country into the ground again and we're completely unprepared for it, i.e cutting Homeland Security to free up some money for more bastard factory social programs. :bigass:

Well, at least you'll finally be able to give all those "nephews" and "rug rats" you seem to endlessly breed something decent to eat.

I really liked it when you bled internally earlier this year, btw. Talk about a metaphor for your persona! :bigass:

The hell? I never bled internally...I had an infected and inflamed gall bladder for which I needed emergency surgery but no internal bleeding. Way to keep up though, obsess much?

Nothing in me bleeds internally least of all my heart, never forget it.

Oh please, my parents have money, no one is going without around here bitch. It's CALLED GETTING A JOB.

I know a lot of people who have worked hard all their life and have nothing to show for it now thanks to this administration.

The economy is doing great. For the rich.
The stock market is doing great. For big business and the rich.
The job market is doing great. If you're willing to work long hours for a less then equatable minimum wage.

If you make less than 50,000 a year, which a good majority of this country does, taxes, health insurance, and gas and energy prices have taken a big chunk of peoples income and in some cases, savings to cover.

That "my parents have money, no one is going without around here bitch." attitude is nothing more than snotty, privileged, elitist, condescending crap. Lets hope the Democrats rape your parents of all their "hard earned" privilege and you have to actually find a job working for someone who won't put up with your snotty princess attitude.

You won't last long in the real worlds job market.

If the people you know have lost their entire life savings in the last 6 years well then, I'd call them lousy investors or I'd summize that they didn't have much in savings to begin with.

You're what Sarek, 50, 55? So I assume your friends are roughly the same age. My parents are a bit older and while their business nearly collapsed under the opperssive taxes of the Clinton Administration they were nowhere even remotely close to losing their savings or retirement.

The complete summary? Your friends are poor, no surprise there. Tell them to get an education or marketable skill and work harder and then 6 short years won't cause them to go belly up in a thriving economy. An economy, which by the way, isn't just smoke and mirrors.

The economy thriving trickles down, if the rich are doing well so are the not so rich and worker bees. You're just so quick to believe everyone living more than paycheck to paycheck is greedy. Try being more realistic. Taxes are getting paid by the well to do, trust me.

If you make less than 50,000 a year, which a good majority of this country does, taxes, health insurance, and gas and energy prices have taken a big chunk of peoples income and in some cases, savings to cover.

Boo. Hoo. If you're making less than $50,000.00 a year, which I do by the way, and you've saddled yourself with a bastard factory or choose to live beyond your means (i.e. credit card debt) and can't afford the essentials, whose fault is that exactly? Hm, not mine. I've been hit by everything you've cited but not so much that I couldn't afford to pay them, it's called sacrifice. There are an awful lot of people in this country trying to live champaign lives on beer budget.

No Sarek, what that is is pride. My parents had nothing but an idea and built it and built it and made it successful, so successful they can now afford to live, save, and invest off of it. So successful that they were able to raise four children with it, live in an exclusive neighborhood because of it, belong to an exclusive cuontry club with it, buy each one of their children a car at 16with it, send those kids to the finest colleges they could get into without ever a loan being mentioned. No my friend that's the sweet smell of the American dream realized. If you work hard enough you can achieve it too. The problem we have here is people wanting things handed to them and people like you validating that.

I've worked for minimum wage and lived on my own while doing it and while it sucks and doesn't afford many luxuries it is absolutely possible. You might have to get a cheaper place, get a roomate, eat brown label brand foods, spend a few more nights home than you'd like, and not have children you can't afford but that's the sacrifice you make when you choose not to get an education or go into a trade such as I did back in the day.

No, no Sarek, after the last fiasco during the Clinton Administration my parents have taken the advantage of having a Republican president and shored up their business, slimmed down the product line and the chow line. My parents' business will provide exactly what it needs to provide for them... and me if I continue to be so lucky. Once again, it's called HARD WORK. You should tell your friends to hop down off of their pity pots and try it sometime.

You won't last long in the real worlds job market.

I live every day in the "real world's job market", ya dink. We'll get you caught up, my parents own a business, people call and order our product, we pay for supplies to make our product, we make the product, then we deliver it to our customer and they give us money for it. We take that money and use it to pay taxes, paychecks, insurance, and mortgages, etc.

See buddy, that's how business works. I see you've been lead to believe that anyone with a pulse should be making $20.00 an hour but here in the "real world job market" people get paid what they're worth.

Is it my fault everyone doesn't come up with a brilliant idea for a luxury product that they can charge an arm and a leg for? And that's what you call capitalism, it's what this country was built on.

Now clean up this mess, your heart has bled all over the place.

"Thriving economy?"

I'm afraid you're dangerously close to recieving a very Messy smackdown, my dear. You're headstrong now, but will you continue to be if/when it arrives?

Oh please, you're about as scary as a declawed kitten.

Do tell, how is the economy NOT thriving? What, you're not getting enough handed to you? Take a gander at the stock market lately? Read up on the umployment rates have you? And the current economy, under the Bush Administration, wasn't built on bound to fail E-businesses and cooked books.

My parents OWN a business, in California no less and business is booming son, business is booming.

Oh honey, believe me, I'm not hurting at all. But every dome I have I've worked for and earned without he help of my family. I moved out of my parents home and started working full time at the age of 15. I enlisted in the military at the age of 17 and retired at the age of 41. I put myself through college with my own money that I earned and then scrimped and saved and supplemented it with my military benefits.

I'm 42. And I didn't loose anything in retirement. But I did watch George try and use back door means to slash veterans retirement benefits and reduce veterans benefits like health care. Is that fair? I spent 22 years years serving this country and then watched as Bush and his cronies said "Thanks, now bend over".

Don't presume to know anything about my friends. Most are middle to upper middle class. And a couple are prominent politicians and some high ranking military members. But I do have friends on the other end of the spectrum. Like one friend who got activated for 4 years, lost his family business and his home. When he was deactivated, he had to take a minimum wage job and go back to school to catch up on advances in technology. He ran a lucrative computer business that his family owned. But his time away caused a hardship that the company didn't recover from and the industry passed him by. He has to start all over.

Myth. Corporate fat cats are keeping the profits for themselves. The oil companies aren't lining the streets in gold. And the only trickle effect from that was higher prices for the consumer.

And yeah, the well to do are paying the taxes. Bullshit. The rich are the weakest link in the whole tax program. Never mind that every tax initiative that Bush tried to pass slammed the middle and lower class and gives million dollar cuts to the rich. What's the one thing the Republicans want to save from their years of corruption? The tax cut package for the wealthy.

Good for them. I hope they take a lot of pride in the job they've done. You on the other hand, are full of nothing more than boastful arrogance. And there's a big difference. I can respect some one who takes pride in their accomplishments. But I can't stomach someone who enjoys the benefits of others hard work and then boasts about it. And you do enjoy it. You've said as much in the past. Parents are parents. I'm sure if you needed it, they would provide it.

I doubt very much you work for a family business and all you get is minimum wage. I do occasional jobs for a cousin that's a private contractor. He starts most out 10 to 12 an hour. I started at 18 an hour because I was family. But it's money well spent according to him. Yeah, it's nepotism, but I'm not going to argue with him.

So after the Clinton administration and during the Bush administration, they had to cut back on products they offered the public and discontinue perks they offered their employees?

Wow. If that's your idea of a profitable business, don't ever start your own company. Your workers are going to end up needing the social programs the Republicans want to trash.

LOL!

No, I don't think everyone should be paid 20 bucks an hour. But I think they should be paid enough to not have to decide between food or the electric bill, medication or gas for the car because they can't afford to pay for all the basic necessities.

No, this country was built on the backs of people who came to this country seeking a better life. Honest work for an honest wage. In this country it's been perverted into capitalistic greed by big business and opportunistic people who are willing to reap the rewards for other peoples work. And them provide them with the absolute minimum so as to keep the profit margin big and line their own pockets. Big oil is a superb example. High profits, 0 return to the public sector.

Quite naturally a cancred leech parasite who's every breath is subsidized by the taxpayer is worried about "returns to the public sector".

I don't own oil stocks, so I didn;t get none of it neither.

So, do you think the Jihadi phenomenon will now suddenly disappear now that hate-America socialists are in control of Congress?
