Lol, just saw Merlin on Netflix and sudden nostalgia flashback about how we all used to chat on here about GAY SUBTEXT. Then after Merlin was a gladiator thing in the Sunday BBC slot which was even GAYER and we exploded. (with CUM)
Your Mine Field Hall of Fame portrait was shredded (like your hero Banksy would do!) for missing the Reunion, but I'll allow you to glue it back together again!
It's Joe Cornish's first film since Attack The Block (seven years ago!) so I was curious about it but definitely very much aimed at kids (which is fine!)
Atlantis tried to replicate the Merlin formula but forgot one key thing: casting. The guy playing Jason was a block of wood, cast only for how he looked with his shirt off, and only Mark Addy was any good. Merlin, for all its MANY fault, at least had a very strong cast (even the fucking dragon was voiced by John Hurt!) who could make it entertaining and gay.
I have decided to embrace the British way of spelling things. Except that instead of a gratuitous 'u', I shall innovate by using a gratuitous 'w'. 'Flavowr.' 'Colowr'. 'Honowr.' Yes. That's the tickewt.
