I don't know why I continue to post about this place. Clearly no one is interested. I just can't get over the defensiveness of the admin there. It is embarrassing.

There are some neat features and threads at the board and a couple of people I don't mind, but the over sensitivity of the admin is ridiculous. I have recieved PM's asking me not to trash talk the forum and explaining things every time I ask a question. Just tell me to Fuck Off and I'd have more respect for you dude.

Speak for yourself ... it's my home and we aren't going anywhere for about a decade.

We have an open ticket about 1,000,000 thread with VB support and now we have to wait. We've reset/reformatted the threrad daily, but it retweaks back and now were just trying to save the thread... so a few more days on that.

As you know, people come and go. [Private Message] them, if they don't reply, they don't want you to know.

This board is being managed to succeed daily and by the end of this year, there are certain things in play that will help take Bastard Factory Forums to the next level and youre gonna fucking love it!

As for the MagBastard Award.

I think to get more involved, we will go to the (max) 19 top members of that month in a vote poll and have the 20th spot open to buy your way on if your not up there.

This way19-20 people will all want to be involved and not focused on the 2-3.... abviously Im trying to make this fun and worth it.

That should many candidates will cover and legitimate "nominations".

Hmmm I cannot find the "create a poll" option. I thought there was a section dedicated to that? Perhaps that was a different place I frequent.

I know what you are saying about posting vs shouting and wanting to generate more traffic in the actual forum. I would be interested to know if the number of lurkers drops w/out the shoutbox.

In my primary forum there are a group of us that regularly meet on a chat in the afternoons. We chat and post on 3 dif forums during this time. Posts are still being made.

For almost 2 years that chats been up and the mixture has occured throughout the site. I turned it off for a few days last year and the post counts spiked up hard.

I will gladly share stats from this closing.

First off... watch the amount total post on bottom of main page. it's around 105,250 right now, this will spike. When we hit 500,000 I will more than likely kbring the shout back.

I kinda miss it already, but we want to make shit happen...

As for the Poll forum.. it is also gone.

Another move to make the site streamlined better.

Anytime you start a thread, the bottom area has the poll option / in any forum you can start a poll.

If we pull it out of the admin CP it will make the board run faster, since it takes alot of space... people like you and mama are tops in there and we need to move on.

There is NO reason why this place isnt filled full of people rambling on about random topics... this place needs to expand and IF lurkers read more CONTENT, thy will stay and read.... its lost in the shout and guests dont have access to archives.
