Download videos from Youtube.

For this script to work you will need the Firefox browser and the Greasemonkey extension.

After installing Greasemonkey, relaunch Firefox, then right-click the link above and select "Install User Script." Now whenever you browse to YouTube you will see a prominent red bar download link at the top of the screen.

Just navigate to whichever video you wish to download and click it. Voila.

Here is the next step. You will probably see that you have now downloaded the video in a non viewable format.

We can fix this with a bit of knowhow.

First download this tool here.

It's called Total Video Converter and is very useful for all sorts of projects. It is a $50 piece of software though so we will need to crack the evaluation version to full which I will show you how to do in just a moment.


You have just downloaded your video from Youtube with the Greasemonkey hack and you are looking blankly at a file that will look like this:

Never mind my Portman wallpaper, *ahem* ANYWAY.. Yes, you have a Get_video file but it doesn't have any extension to it so your newly procured version of Total Video Converter won't recognise it.

So add an FLV extension to it. Don't ask questions just do it.


Ok, now you can open the file up in TVC and convert it to anything you like. Audio, Divx, MPEG, Mov. Even formats like 3gp for mobile phones and others for PSP's ect.

All that is very easy to figure out in TVC so I won't bother walking you through that. Ahh, but you will still need the crack and keygen for TVC. So out of the kindness of my heart I have uploadd my version for you here:

Enjoy. This may seem complicated and like a lot of fuss but it really isn't, it takes only a few seconds to change the extension and encode it ino a workable format. Very easy and worthwhile. Plus you will thank me for TVC regardless.

I guess my specific question is: what is youtube? I followed a link of yours there and streamed your MJ vid with no problem.

What does the process in this thread add?

www.Youtube.com is a place where millions of people upload videos of all types every day 24/7. You upload the videos and they are encoded into an embedded flash file type.

I'm not trying to tell you how to download one video. But ANY video you want from youtube, of which there are an uncountable number.

There is no feature to download the videos though so you can only stream them and watch them online. This tutorial has the end result of taking any video from Youtube and downloading it to your computer and then converting it into a workable filetype.

Menty, pretend I'm five. How does the keygen work? I copied and pasted its text into the TVC registration but it didn't work. I went back to the keygen and kept clicking "Generate" about five hundred times and it beats the hell out of me what I'm supposed to do with the flood of text that ensues.

Ok, I think you're probably not putting the keypatch in the TVC folder.

You see there are three files in that keygen rar you downloaded?

Keygen.exe

Keypatch.exe

Virility.nfo


Unpack all the files to your desktop or anywhere eles that is easy then copy the Keypatch file and paste it into the main TVC directory and run it.

C:\Program Files\Total Video Converter

Should be the default folder. It will patch the right files to allow the keygen to work. Once that is done run TVC as normal generate a keygen and it will work.
