DYNOMITE - Good Times

C-40

NEW AGE POSTING
Good Times is an American television sitcom that aired for six seasons on CBS, from February 8, 1974, to August 1, 1979. Created by Eric Monte and Mike Evans and developed by executive producer Norman Lear, it was television's first African American two-parent family sitcom. Good Times is a spin-off of Maude, which itself is a spin-off of All in the Family, making Good Times the first television spin-off from another spin-off. The first two episodes are notable for their strong, liberal, sociopolitical stance, representing an attitude of 1970's progressivism.

Well like I said. Every time I start a legitimate new thread in this forum his jealousy compels him to do the same.

His simian nigger brain doesn't understand how to do anything other than spam however, and his blatant racist attitude causes him to think that "THIS" is what people want to see when they visit the forum. Nothing could be farther than the truth however. TK Media center is about what's been going on in the popular culture. I think I do a a fairly good job of reflecting the wide swath of culture involved. But this and threads like "The Jeffersons" and those ridiculous "Cooks County" and "Maintenance 101" threads are simply his jealous response to my contributions to this forum. Think when he does too much crack, melts down and starts spamming "Badlands pic of the day" with the ugliest, fattest black women you could ever not want to see. Then he'll switch accounts and spam a bunch more meaningless videos. Must be he thinks he's "trolling" me, since he's stated that his purpose is to "make my internet experience as miserable as possible." Just like his contributions to the rest of the board. If it involves original thought, better to just leave him out of it.

Of course, then he'll view it thirty or 40 times to make us think "guest" are actually into what he posts.

It's just jealousy. He's been jealous of everything I've done around here and his whole "life" is wrapped up in this place.

Sad, really but absolutely true.

And then there's this: He headlines this thread with the catchphrase of a character from the show who rapidly turned into an instance of Uncle Tomfoolery -- the character of J.J. Evans came to be hated by the two lead castmembers, so much so that they left the show over it.

When Good Times premiered, the character of J.J. – the Evans’ oldest of three children – was initially meant to provide some comedic relief.
But the character became increasingly popular with audiences, in part because of his slapstick antics and signature catchphrase, “Dy-no-mite!” Over time, Walker’s character took up more and more screen time.

Both Amos and Rolle disapproved of the shift. They thought the character of J.J. lacked nuance and was irresponsible, perpetuating negative racial stereotypes and taking precious screen time away from more important, serious social issues that could be explored.

In a 2015 interview with the American Archive of Television (via The Root), Amos explained of his disapproval, “I felt too much emphasis was being put on J.J. and his chicken hat and saying ‘dy-no-mite’ every third page, when just as much emphasis and mileage could have been gotten out of my other two children.”

Rolle, too, was open about her disdain for the direction that J.J.’s character took. In particular, she criticized his shift into an increasingly absurd, over-the-top character across time.

Well done, idiot black bastard. As usual you'd fuck up a wet dream.

Because you're just a blatant asshole.

Hey Wilson. How's it feel to be such a loser that this is all you have? No one reads your threads. The only view count is from you :bigass:

Poor jealous bastard. :gagh:
