Fall is almost here

Texas is much cooler today - which is a great thing.

Been setting up my calendar through the end of the year -
thankfully I have lots of fun and interesting things to look forward to now that the temperature is cooling down, and reunions and holidays are coming.

Are you looking forward to something fun? If so, what?

I live for summer. Accepting fall is an adjustment. I think I will go on a walk and enjoy the green leaves before they start falling to the ground and crunching beneath my feet.

I did not get near enough time in the water or the woods this summer but I must have no regrets only thankful that for the first time in many many years I got to enjoy a summer.

I think I am thankful to live somewhere not as hot as Texas. But I would love to experience the sunshine and heat......for a while.

Were you in prison?

I USED to like the Summer when I was younger. That all changed when I joined the US Army. Thats where I quickly learned to cherish the chill of Autumn and winter. I disliked spring because thats when the snow and ice melted and everything got stuck in the mud, and I found myself endlessly scrubbing and cleaning everything I came in contact with.

Summer was the worst for me because of the bugs. Ants, mosquitoes and gnats were not something to look forward to, especially when sleeping on the ground or working in the hot blazing sun.

This time right about now, is the best time for me :techman:

I'm looking forward to fall. Summer is just too hot here and winter is cold (we have continental climate). Fall is just right - we have an awesome Indian Summer.
Plus: in October Rene Auberjonois will come to my town and in November I'll go on a 3 week vacation to Italy. YAY!
