What every man wants and needs in a woman is acceptance. Total loyalty and servitude despite his flaws. That's why Edward VIII will always go down in history as the great romantic of the British Monarchy. Wallace Simpson must have been a truly remarkable woman for Edward to renounce the throne of the entire British Empire on her behalf; I am convinced without any doubt that she must have been a genuine paladin of servitude and loyalty. Only such women are capable of keeping a man from seeking a mistress.

That's all it takes for a man to renounce everything for a woman.
