Finally saw "Sin City"

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
Ohhh man! Mickey Rourke was fucking great, as was Bruce Willis. I even liked Elijah, though he didn't talk. Damned if Rodriguez and Miller didn't pull it off. Some of the scenes looked exactly like the comics. The judicious use of color was tremendous.

Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Jessica Alba as Nancy Walls. My God, what a smoldering representation of forbidden sensuality and lust. Those fucking lips...incredible.

Damned fine movie!

Hard to believe that's Mickey Rourke, huh? Not only in looks, but the brilliant acting.

Elijah Wood scared the fuck out of me as that character...with his dead eyes and funky ass nails. Then of course, Clive Owen. ::slurp:: Lick him like a lollipop is what I'd love to do.

Although I have to say my favorite character was, well hell -- I've forgotten her name. But she's the hot Asian sumari girl who never speaks.

^^That would be Miho, played by model Devon Aoki.

You know, I wanted to see the movie since I heard it was coming out. Then I could never get to the theater to see it. Hell, I bought it the first day it was out on DVD.

You know where it sits? Under my damn bed, still wrapped in plastic.

The movie is one of the best comic / graphic novel adaptations of all time. The material had Rodriuez written all over it from the start, and thankfully he managed to pressure the studio into allowing Frank Miller on board as co-director.

It was a visual masterpiece, loyal to the books in every way. I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming sequal of stories. You can't go wrong with Miller's work, and finally we were treated with a movie that reflected that.

Seven in all. I have the lot. I'm wondering if Miller wants to do an eighth, or if he always had the 'Seven Sins' in mind.

Miller said no more Sin City. :(

Now if we could just see some of Chaykin's work come to the big screen. American Century, Bite Club or Black Kiss would be a start.

Hey....we need a Preacher movie with Tom Cruise as Arseface

I finally sat down to watch it last night.

Holy shit... It was beautiful. I've read some of the Sin City comics long before I bought the movie, and to see such an adaptaion... it was perfect.

The cinematography, hell, even the actors Fit the comic.

I liked it a lot, I got so into it I found it harder to breath when Clive Owen went under the tar.

And even after years of hating Micky Roake for his IRA supporting, its hard not to love him in this role.

I was going to post my lego sin city scene, but photobucket is doing matenence at the moment so I cant upload anything, too bad we havent got attatchments here
