The Teabaggers have been pretty active around here but I haven't gone to one of their rallys yet or read any of their material. I would like to see a viable third party be developed. It is going to take time though, and finding the right kind of leadership that is all for having an open mind without being so open their brains fall out.

But, in keeping in the spirit of this board -

I think the Dogon tribe being able to describe the orbit of Sirius B in the 1930s and earlier cave paintings that seem to illustrate its orbit around Sirius A lend some plausibility to previous contacts. Granted, the theory of cultural contamination causing those stories also makes some sense.

I hope it's true though. I wanna see the look on everyone's faces when the aliens look kinda like us or have some lore of this species from the next system over that they all thought was dead (or in galactic prison making homemade tentacle porn) but it's actually us. Still making tentacle porn.
