I commend you. You are not a cheapskate bastard.

My friend is going back to work on Tuesday, it will be her first day back since having her son. Being the thoughtful friend I am I thought I might send her some flowers from her son, you know letting her know he's okay in daycare and to have a good day. A small bouquet is forty frickin' dollars and that doesn't include delivery. Jesus fuck, I can't keep giving her money every week and send her flowers, I'm nice but there's a limit man.
 
Flowers are a waste unless they are live with roots that can be planted in the yard.

You may as well fling money in the trash.
 
I dont' believe cut flowers are a waste. I happen to enjoy them. I sent my man flowers once. Yes, only once. What do you guys think about that? You probably would not like to recieve flowers in the office I bet.

Since I don't know (or care to know) MM's name, address, place of work or even the remotest detail of her life, in lieu of flowers, I gave a canned ham to a homeless guy and put the remainder of the money in my "I'M BUYING A NEW RIFLE DAMNIT" fund.

I am leaning towards the Henry. I already have Marlin lever action, but no "real" cowboy gun. So, I guess I should include the Winchester '73 also
