Former Wilmington Shark Alec Bohm named MLB All-Star starter
2016 Wilmington Shark, Alec Bohm, has been named the starting third baseman for the National League in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. Fifteen former Sharks have made it to the MLB, Bohm is the first to be selected to an all-star team. In 2016 with the Sharks, Bohm had a .330 batting average, 11 home runs, 12 doubles and a league-leading 51 RBIs to help Wilmington to a 32-22 record and a postseason appearance. Bohm also won the 2016 CPL Home Run Derby and obtained All-CPL First Team and All-Star honors. The Philadelphia Phillies selected Bohm with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. Through 84 games with the Phillies in 2024, Bohm has a .299 batting average with 11 home runs, MLB-leading 28 doubles and NL-leading 70 RBIs.Click Here For Complete Story
