Former WWE champ Sid Eudy, known as 'Sid Vicious,' dies at 63

Sid Eudy, best known by his ring names Sid Justice, Sycho Sid and Sid Vicious, has died, WWE announced Monday. He was 63. Eudy headlined WrestleMania twice -- in 1992 and 1997 vs. Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker, respectively -- and is a two-time WWE champion. He also won WCW's top title twice. An imposing presence at a billed 6-foot-9, 317 pounds, Eudy usually portrayed an unhinged character with his flowing curly blond locks. He was once a member of Ric Flair's Four Horsemen in WCW and later played Shawn Michaels' bodyguard in the then-WWF.

Eudy was a staple of many other memorable WWE storylines over the years; he was the special guest referee of the 1991 SummerSlam main event between Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior. He also helped popularize the Powerbomb maneuver as one of the most notable big men to utilize the finisher. "Known as 'The Master and Ruler of the World,' Sid's reputation as one of the toughest and most thrilling superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world," WWE wrote on its official website.
