G.I. Joe - Retaliation

Forever Empress E
This movie was made for me so I could look at the Rock with a little Channing Tatum on the side and some Bruce in there just because.

The guys will like it some because of all the weapons.

This movie is further proof that supports my claim that men will fight anywhere, anytime, no matter how implausible the fight may be. Guys in ninja suits swinging around on ropes on the side of extremely steep mountains, hacking away at each other with swords. Yes. It happens every day. I'm certain of it. And, of course, there is at least one person in a full face mask who never speaks, just nods his head from time time. And, there is a least one guy who has severe facial scars when his mask is removed.

I love the Rock. He should make a movie where he walks around for a couple of hours flexing his pecs, smiling, showing me his muscles, smiling some more, maybe strum on the ukelele some, open jars, bend some crow bars, build me a deck, smile some more, flex more muscles. Could call it "Hanging out with the Rock." I wonder if he can tell jokes unscripted. He could flex his pecs and I wouldn't really care.

Due to the fact that this is a raping of my childhood nostalgia I will not be paying one red cent to see this movie.

See, there is the difference. I remember my brother playing with those little green soldier toys. He had the G.I. Joe comics later on and I think he still has a collection of them. I never played with army toys or read military themed comic books or novels or watched that type of television or movies. I can enjoy the Rock being big. He is awesome.
