Gaghles is having a Negasm

A trophy thread? FOR ME?

Imagine. If I bumped all mine, this forum would be about 5 pages deep. Even more if it hadn't been cleansed late last year.

How's it hanging, Atlas?

S'up, Gaghy?

And to think I didn't believe Caitrona when she told me you were a force of nature.

You bored today? Or did I say something to twist your knickers again?

;)

Nah. Summat to do, wasn't it?

Indeed! Carry on, my tommie friend, and hoist a piss-warm pint for me tonight!

:bigass:

"Gaghie" has a cuter ring to it in print.

By Jove! I do believe you're right!

"Gaghles" is more Captain Bligh-ish, though, don't you think?

I don't drink warm beer, and they probably haven't in this country since the mid 1950's.

Lager & bottled beers should be chilled / frosted. Pints, particularly a good bitter should be draught, which is basically cellar temparature. That's far from warm. I'd spit most warm alcohol out, perhaps with the exception of a good wine, or a recently 'lit' Drambuies.

"Cellar Temp" is what I meant by "piss-warm". And I agree that certain types of beers and ales should be so served - but Americans and Aussies like their lagers to be just a degree or two above freezing, especially on a hot summer day.

That's not piss-warm, believe me. Ever drunk in a pub in England? (And I don't mean a theme / chain pub - a proper pub).

I would allow you the pleasure of showing me this treat..... except I can't leave the country.

:(

What a witty comment! Tell me - how many foreigners are there in your mudball?

Please tell me you know that "Isle of the Mighty" is a term that has been used to refer to Britain for at least 1,500 years?
