Game Of Thrones 5.1 'The Wars To Come'

I WON'T because it's cheating to watch leaked episodes and also they're screener versions and the aired episodes might be different? AND IT WOULD RUIN THESE WEEKLY THREADS.

I'm going to watch them as they're broadcast. Half the fun of GoT is chatting and speculating about it, so I'd rather be watching at the same speed as most other people I know. That's one of the disadvantages of shows like Daredevil being put online all in one go. "Which episode are you up to?" "7" "Ooooh, 7! I... don't really remember which that was. Well have fun with that."

I LIKED YOUR POST BUT I REALLY WANTED TO UNLIKE IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DVR AND I DON'T :rwmad:

It was totally set up so there isn't really much to say but I'll manage to say things anyway!

Young Cersei was well cast. She did good Lena Headey faces.

It was good that they finally revealed that Lancel is still alive! And Kevan was back too. I bet people thought "ARE THEY THE SAME ACTOR" (or "I don't remember this character") but yes they were the same actors okay.

It's a shame they didn't get Illyrio to appear again. They could have finally revealed that Arya saw him and Varys talking when whe was hiding in the dragon skull way back in season one.

Sansa looks good with dark hair.

Dany is a bad dragon mother.

Mance's final scene was good. Like it's a big departure from the books but I guess we just have to accept that now, man.

Didn't really introduce any new characters, did they? That's probably unusual for a season premiere. It felt like a continuations of season four more than a new season to me?

I finally saw this last night. Captain Wacky summed things up nicely I must say. I did notice that they did shape Cersei's eyebrows! Thank god, I was sick of looking at that caterpillar wriggling around her forehead.

Did they squish a whole lot of stuff from the wall down into just a few minutes? I can't even tell which book they're basing the season on!

Mance was burned near the start of book five.

In the book it happens after Jon is elected as Lord Commander (which happens at the end of book 3.) And of course he isn't actually burned in the book because they swapped him with the Lord of Bones.
