Game of Thrones season 6

Last night's episode was something else. Bolton boy was a true bastard in every sense of the word. Sansa got more than just a little scary there.

When all this converges, going to be grand. Would make Tolkein proud.

Ramsey's death was too good for him. He should have caught a bad case of food poisoning and spent his last few days shitting his pants.

The dragons looked the best they ever have. I don't know why Dany decided to wait until the next day before attacking but I guess she wanted to speak to the Masters in daylight or something.

The part with Dany meeting Yara and Theon felt pretty rushed.

Dany: You have to stop doing all the things your people have done forever.
Yara: But those are the things we do!
Dany: Stop doing them.
Yara: Okay!

The long tracking shot of Jon fighting was movie quality. It was good to see Tormund in action.

So Sansa's like "you can't attack until you have more men" and Jon says "do you know where we can get more men?" and she says no. But...she wrote to Littlefinger. And even if she didn't know he was coming she could have at least told Jon there was a chance that more men were coming. There's no reason at all to not tell him other than dramatic tension.

I don't think it would be to Tolkien's tastes (he was very specific.)

Yara: Okay!

This bit was the only, "Huh?" moment, but, you could argue that Yara was swayed by the promise of the crown she just lost in the kingsmoot, the protection of dragons when her uncle shows up, and the possibility of some sweet mother of dragons poonay-nay.

Well it's not like she could say "no," she needs the Dragon queen in order to live. Since she has no actual power she can promise whatever.

Posted this on the other place, thought it was cute:

Also, Tyrion is a lying shit! He said Theon was being a dick to him the last time they spoke and making dwarf jokes, but it was actually Tyrion who was being a dick to him.

(EDIT: Just watch it on Youtube then.)

6.10 'The Winds of Winter'

Cersei stands trial for her crimes, while Jaime celebrates victory with Walder Frey at The Twins. Davos confronts Jon about Melisandre's actions, and Littlefinger reveals his intentions to Sansa. Meanwhile, Bran continues his quest for knowledge in the far North as "winter" finally arrives.

Wondering if Arya will put on the face of Jamie Lannister and kill Cersei. She'd fulfill the prophecy for Cersei and cross a name off her bucket list. Maybe the Hound will help her by fighting off Sandor the weirdo giant thing.

Why is no one discussing the huge plot twist of Varys having a twin!?

I see people going "YEAH CERSEI YOU DID IT" but even if you do support Cersei you have to see that what she did was really really stupid. She just has more enemies now. Dany has three dragons, an army of Unsullied, Dothraki, the Iron Fleet, Dorne and the Tyrells on her side. Cersei has...Gregor? He can't rape everyone to death.

This is pretty good!

I was just reading some speculation that maybe they'll have Arya's story merged a bit with Lady Stoneheart's.... but then I realized they are past the books, and what is the point of Lady Stoneheart's storyline now? Arya wouldn't need to demand Brienne kill Jaime, because Arya already knows Brienne's relationship with Jaime.

Well Cersei wants it more.

If they were going to do something like that they would have done it when Brienne and Jaime met at Riverrun. Since Lady Stoneheart's whole thing is gettig revenge for the Red Wedding and Arya's kind of already done that by killing Walder and improbably baking his sons into pie I don't see what's left to merge.
