Garamet's Gonna Get Perma'd!

Me either, though after I saw the signature thing, I figured he was cruising for a bruising. That's not to be taken as any indication that I already know what Bonz is or isn't going to do with him.
 
Garamet is a she.

And she's one of the biggest trolls on TrekBBS. She just does it more subtly than idiots like KIRK1ADM, who can't do subtle to save his life.

She's generally been given a pass because in real life she's Margaret Wander Bonnano, writer of some rather mediocre Trek novels and even more mediocre "original" stuff.

She has a habit of choosing one conservative as her target, amassing her leftist buddies, and then pointing out anything and everything that person does until they get permabanned. It would be nice to see her get a taste of her own medicine. She's been itching for a come-uppance for years.

Nice to see that T'Bonz actually sees through her bullshit. I was afraid the whole staff had been blinded by her sophistry.

I was so happy to see T'Bonz call her on her shit. Garamet thinks she's someone to be respected because she wrote some stupid ass Trek novel. She's a nobody and no worse than the trolls she hates so much. Why they let her get away with her trolling is beyond me. I could care less if she writes Trek novels, she shouldn't be allowed on the board.
 
Garamet has been the focal point of problems on TrekBBS many a time. The board would definitely be a better place without her and her "Any man's death" thread, which is nothing more than trolling those in favor of the war.

I don't usually go in for taking motivation into account, because it's so hard to tell in some cases, but years of the same bullshit from garamet make it absolutely clear that her intention is to piss off a certain section of the board, in hopes they will flame her, get warned, and, if she's really successful, get kicked off the board, so that their ideas are no longer allowed a public forum. Poetic justice demands that she be kicked off herself, and silenced as she demands others be.
 
It's so nice that others see through Garamets bullshit...especially nice that T'bonz does. Of course I expect hell to freeze over before they perma-ban her.
 
I'm super-dissappointed. I guess that T'Bonz is giving in to the dumbshits. She's not even on any sort of probation, so in another month she'll just imply that another poster she dislikes is breaking the rules... when no rules are actually being broken.

Just like this time. In her first paragraph she wrote that an inaccurate quote was against Trekbbs rules. It isn't. Not in the faq, not in the board rules. Oh sure there's rules about quoting email or pm conversations with other posters, but no rules cover people outside the board membership. And they shouldn't. WTF, T'Bonz, are you gonna ban this TROLL or not? Afraid of posters leaving? Is that it?
 
Might I add that she doesn't really contribute, either? The vast majority of her posts that I have seen are one line. Not a bad thing in itself, except that that one line is often "Explain" or "Sources?" or some smartass belittling remark that consistently borders the trolling line. If T'Bonz would like, I would be happy to go through the board and link to all of her posts, so the pattern is more visible.
 
Meh. She's a dried up old dumb box that's still living in the 60s. Allow her one last refuge where she can spout her outdated views and think she's accomplishing something before she croaks.

Kirk vs Garamet is like Israel vs Palestine, it will never end. Just sit back and stay out of it, maybe poke em with a stick from time to time.

You can't say what your saying bout Garamet without sayin the same for Kirk if not worse.

I pissed her off a couple of times last month.

In fact, I've got a couple unopened PM's in my box over at Turdforge with self congratulatory and condescending subject lines, which I'm sure contain pejoratives and insults. ( that's what was in the other half dozen she sent me).

I'm debating as to whether I should open them.

I don't know if I'm bored enough though.
