just getting into it, and it's pretty addictive... you can make your desktop as obnoxious as all get out:

That looks beautiful, but the OCD in me would go squirrelly because of the incessant need to look at constantly updating information, no matter how trivial.

How annoying looking. Been doing this on Windows and Linux for over a decade and quite frankly the novelty wears out real quick. I have no need to have debug info dumped to my screen in real time, on the rare occasions when I need some of that info I can just pop up a console window or go into some settings dialog. And with the advent of desktop widgets, these 3rd party shell enhancements are even more useless.
