Golden Boot

^most likely; although if Portugal stays in long enough, C. Ronaldo might have a crack at it; he's done some brilliant work when he's on form.
But that remains to be seen.

Christiano wouldn't be able to lift it if he won, the pansy. I seriously doubt he will take the Golden Boot though.

Ronaldo, Owen, Rooney, Adriano, Shevshenko, Nistelrooy, Ronaldinhio, Henry.. It all depends on hour far their respective clubs get as much as their performance on pitch. It's too hard to guess on.

Ronaldinho has WC experience from 2002, although he was extremely young then. He tried to do too much with too much flair back then although you could tell he was a rising star in a long line of Brazilian football geniuses. But he's matured a lot in the intervening 4 years. I'm picking him to get the golden boot.

Ronaldinho is one of the greatest players there is. And a former Golden Boot recipient. I wouldn't put it past him winning it again.

^that's why I said he's the most likely to win it -but this game's full of surprises, if nothing else.
I also wonder how Cisse will do - when he's been given the chance to play, he's shown excellent form lately.
And I also have an eye on Drogba, but I have no idea what side he's on! I had always assumed he was French, but is he actually from Africa somewhere?
BTW, I'm not playing Devil's Advocate here - I genuinely like Ronaldinho and would be delighted if he won the Golden Boot...he's a joy to watch play - and not just cuz of his amazing skillz, either - you can tell he just loves the game and is having a great time out there.

I think it depends a bit on the composition of the rest of the team. Could be that he'll provide far more assists than that he makes goals.

^that's the thing with Brazil - they're already set up with at least five International level strikers.
AA, do you know what country Drogba plays for?

I hope he's gonna suck though
lol- somehow, I just don't see The Ivory Coast side being an issue!
But I do look forward to watching them play - we never get any African league games up here and I know nothing about them.

Drogba is overpriced
so what?
It means he's got a good agent!
So are hockey players, baseball players, basketball, racing car drivers, golfers, etc.etc. - I'd rather watch athletes getting paid big bucks to play footie!

did they?
See, I know nothing about footie on an entire continent! :(
One of the reasons I look forward to Teh World Cup so much...reading about teams is NOT the same as seeing the players in action.

Meh - He's a good footballer. But 25 million?

No wai.

p.s.
speaking of which, quite enjoyed seeing the Japanese and Koreans also last time. They're really coming along in the game.
